The project involves the comprehensive renovation of a private residence, adapting an existing dwelling to a contemporary way of living. Conceived as a space capable of evolving alongside its inhabitants, the proposal is driven by the reorganisation of the programme and the pursuit of a distinctive architectural identity.
The architectural strategy is based on opening up the interior and reorganising the home around a generous open-plan living space that integrates the lounge, dining area and kitchen. By optimising circulation, enhancing visual continuity and maximising natural light, the new layout strengthens the spatial perception of the whole and establishes a more fluid relationship between the different rooms.
Rather than approaching the renovation as a mere functional upgrade, the project conceives architecture as a means of constructing a domestic narrative. Every design decision responds not only to criteria of efficiency but also to the intention of endowing the space with character and meaning. Colour is employed as an architectural device to organise circulation, define volumes and create distinct spatial atmospheres, while bespoke joinery is seamlessly integrated into the architecture to resolve the particularities of the space and optimise every corner of the home.
The result is a bright, functional residence with a strong sense of identity, where technical precision and spatial sensitivity converge to unlock the full potential of the existing dwelling through a contemporary, balanced and coherent intervention.
